I’m drawn to photography for its ability to preserve what is fleeting — the moments that become our memories and reflect our shared humanity.

I’m Ashley St. Germain, a photographer rooted in connection and trust, guided by the belief that the most powerful images are the ones that feel honest.

Over the past decade, I’ve documented families, athletes, brands, and editorial work across Ontario and British Columbia — always guided by connection, trust, and the search for what is real.

In 2012, I rollerbladed over 10,000 kilometres across Canada to raise awareness for youth mental health.

It was one of the hardest and most formative experiences of my life. That journey shaped how I move through the world — present, resilient, and deeply aware of how quickly time passes. It also shaped how I photograph: paying attention to what matters before it’s gone.

Whether I’m documenting the intensity of competitive sport, the energy of a growing brand, or the connection within a family, my approach remains the same — to create images that feel grounded, intentional, and enduring. I’m less interested in perfection and more interested in presence.

I live in Chilliwack, BC with my husband and our two children, building a life rooted in movement, creativity, and community. The rhythms of family and sport shape much of my world — and the way I see it.

At its core, my work is about paying attention — to people, to moments, to the quiet details that give shape to our lives. Photography is how I hold onto what matters, and how I help others do the same.
